I am impressed with the quality of this knife. It is solidly built, with the handle molded over a full-length tang. The tang has been cut to allow space for the fire starter rod, which works ok. The knife arrived sharp enough for use, and the molded plastic sheath is handy, and has pretty good retention, with a built in belt clip. I might consider changing out the Fire starter for a ceramic sharpener rod, but this is a great knife to store in a glove box or bug out bag. Recommended. Buy several.
